Just read this article via the UK Press Association. I have a feeling that Chelsea and now Portsmouth wont be the last clubs to be hit with such restrictions. Not City….PLEASE!!!!
Portsmouth confirm transfer embargo
Portsmouth have confirmed they have been hit with a transfer embargo from the Premier League for failing to pay money owed to other clubs.
The embargo means Paul Hart will be unable to bring any new players in to Fratton Park until further notice as he seeks to save the troubled club from relegation. The south coast club are confident the embargo will not be in place for long, though.
Portsmouth director of communications Gary Double said: “This concerns unpaid money to other clubs and it is in the process of being sorted. We are confident the situation will be sorted by the end of the week.”
The transfers involved are believed to be Lassana Diarra’s move from Arsenal in January 2008 and Glen Johnson’s signing from Chelsea in August 2007.
Both players have since left the club, Diarra moving to Real Madrid and Johnson to Liverpool.
It is believed the situation could even be resolved as soon as Wednesday.
Saudi businessman Ali Al-Faraj bought 90% of Portsmouth from former owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim earlier this month after he failed to raise the cash needed to pay the players’ September wages.
Further questions have since been asked about the club’s finances after Israeli mogul Levi Kushnir and Hong Kong-based Balram Chainrai emerged as potential investors in the club.
They have been linked with making a £15million loan, which would be secured against Pompey’s assets.

Just spent a weekend in Manchester/Wigan watching my beloved City!!! Linda and the girls are spending a few days away in Holland so i took the chance to get to a match for the first time this season.

Got my usual lump in the throat as the boys took to the field (call me a softy , but when a club is so close to your heart!!!)
A 1-1 draw might have been a disappointment on paper , but after Pablo Zabaleta got his marching orders i think most sensible fans would have left the stadium happy with the point. Both Chelsea and Villa failed to get anything from the Latics this season and would we have taken a point in previous seasons?? I THINK NOT!!

Oh and i loved my pre match Meat and Potato Pie!!!

City are flying a the moment , the best start to a season in umpteen decades. And with more quality players to return from injury and suspension i sit here full of confidence.
In Emmanuel Adebayor , we have a player , whilst his head is in the right place , that i believe can propel us to a top 4 finish.

Emmanuel Adebayor
Here is an article taken from http://www.timesonline.co.uk
Emmanuel Adebayor, the Manchester City striker, will launch a robust defence today of his goal celebration against Arsenal last month as he tries to escape a second ban for his behaviour during the game.
Adebayor is due to attend a disciplinary hearing in London at lunchtime to answer a charge of improper conduct. If he is found guilty, he is likely to receive an additional one-match ban on top of the three-game suspension he has just served for violent conduct during City’s 4-2 win over his former club.
A club lawyer and Bernard Halford, the City secretary, will join Adebayor at the hearing after lodging their representations yesterday.
The Togo striker was condemned by Greater Manchester Police after running the length of the pitch and sliding to his knees in front of the Arsenal fans to celebrate scoring. His actions prompted ugly scenes in the away end at the City of Manchester Stadium, with a steward suffering minor injuries.
//
In Adebayor’s defence, City will point to the FA’s decision not to charge Gary Neville, the Manchester United defender, for his celebration towards the end of the derby at Old Trafford 11 days ago, and highlight the personal nature of the abuse that Adebayor was subjected to before, during and after the game.
Adebayor has completed a three-match ban for raking his studs down the face of Robin van Persie in the same fixture, but a one-match ban would result in him missing the league game away to Aston Villa on Monday.

King Size Matelasse Woven Bedspread | Cream

Matelasse – A Definition
Matelasse is derived from the French word “Matelasser” meaning ”to quilt”.
This is a jacquard woven fabric that creates a raised pattern with a quilted or sculpted effect.
The Matelasse’ fabrics that we use are made in Italy. They are of a far superior quality to Matelasse from areas such as Portugal, China or India. The difference in quality of the Italian Matelasse, you will notice immediately.
